The Media & Communication Research and Analysis Wing (under the aegis of School of Media & Communication, Manipal University Dubai) takes immense pleasure in inviting you to participate in our first international conference themed, “Social Media: Impact, Consumption & Gratification” on 21st May 2015.
The conference aims at providing quality platform for global student researchers in the media impact (MI) domain whose work will provide vital insight and solutions to the challenging problems that exist in the field of Social Media.

The event is organized by the School’s youthful research body established in 2012, Media & Communication Research and Analysis Wing (MCRAW), that aims to create a serious research environment at par with any center of excellence, for the student community.
MCRAW 2015 welcomes quality paper submissions from your University as this event serves as an excellent opportunity for researchers (faculty and/or students) to present their papers at the conference thereby creating an engaging platform to share ideas, critique and analyze academic discourse as well as network among fellow researchers.
Accepted papers will be published in our official conference book with a unique ISBN code recognized worldwide.

Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Meena T Pillai
Director, School of English and Foreign Languages, Director, Centre for Cultural Studies and Associate Professor, Institute of English and University of Kerala, Dr. Meena T Pillai will deliver the keynote address.
Dr. Pillai is a Fulbright Doctoral Fellow to the Ohio State University and Shastri Fellow to the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University she was also a Commonwealth Fellow at the Media Studies Centre, University of Sussex. Publications include Women in Malayalam Cinema: Naturalising Gender Hierarchies (Ed. 2010) by Orient Blackswan and a chapter in the Handbook of Indian Cinemas by Routledge, London (2013). She has published widely and is the recipient of the Meenakshy Mukherjee Memorial Award for the Best Academic Publication of IACLALS 2012 for her essay in the South Asian Review. Areas of interest include Cultural Studies, Gender and Cinema.
