MCRAW 2017

The Media & Communication Research and Analysis Wing (under the aegis of School of Media & Communication, Manipal University Dubai) takes immense pleasure in inviting you to participate in our third international conference themed, “Media Construction of Reality” on 2nd May 2017.

The ongoing discourse in Western philosophy about the concept of ‘reality’ and whether individuals construct their reality initiates dialogue about the role of media in facilitating the conceptualization of everyday reality. The world is more connected than ever before and audiences are overloaded with mass media messages. These messages facilitate the conceptualization of reality which gives rise to various questions: Is reality a construct? Are media messages a reflection of society or construction? Is our consumed reality a social construction?

The association of media texts with audience’s perception of the world and response patterns have increasingly become vital areas of research with advancement of technology and easy accessibility to media.

The Third Annual International Conference organized under the aegis of the Media & Communication Research and Analysis Wing (MCRAW) aims to deepen its understanding about the role of media in conception of reality.

To promote an environment of academic research, MCRAW allows the submission of other associated topics for consideration and encourage sessions within and across a variety of disciplines and fields related to Media & Mass Communication. MCRAW 2017 welcomes quality paper submissions from international communities, including student researchers from: Universities, Industries, Government entities, and standardization bodies.

Information on registration fees and extended paper submission dates can be viewed on our website.

We look forward to your support and active participation from your students & faculty.
